How to
Save the sound from an Instagram Reel
Instagram lets you save a reel to a collection or bookmark its audio, but both only open back inside the app, as video, in the feed. If what you want is the sound — to play it, replay it, or keep it next to others — the app gives you no way to hold onto it.
LoopRush does: paste the reel link and its audio is extracted into a stack on your device, without posting anything, with the video one tap away if you want it.
It is not a downloader. Nothing lands in your Files app or camera roll; the sound plays from LoopRush, in the browser, screen off.
Save a reel's sound in a few seconds
- In Instagram, open the reel, tap the share arrow, then Copy link.
- Open looprush2.com and paste the link.
- The audio extracts and starts playing.
- It is now in a stack on your device. Rename it, file it under a station like gym or meme, and paste the next one.
"Without posting": what that means here
Instagram's own route to a sound is to use it in a reel of your own, which means creating a post, or at least a draft. Nothing here touches your Instagram account: LoopRush reads the public reel through its link, the same way a browser would, and never signs in as you. You post nothing, follow nothing, and the reel's owner sees nothing.
Saving to your phone, honestly
Searches for this often want a file on the phone. LoopRush does not make one: the audio is stored by LoopRush and streamed to the player in your browser, so there is no MP3 to move around and nothing to set as a ringtone or alarm. What you get instead is a library that plays like a music app, keeps playing with the screen locked, and needs no account to start.
If you sign in — Google, or a link sent to your email — the library follows you to other devices and survives a browser clearing its data.
Reels and TikToks in one place
A stack does not care where a sound came from. Reels sit next to TikToks, play in order, loop with repeat all, and can be shared as a link anyone can open with no account. The sound pages on this site list which shared stacks a reel appears in.
Questions
- Can you save an Instagram Reel with its sound?
- Yes, as a playable sound in LoopRush: paste the reel link and the audio is kept in a stack on your device, screen-off playback included. It does not create a file in your camera roll.
- Does this post anything or use my Instagram account?
- No. It only reads the public reel through its link. You are never signed in to Instagram through LoopRush.
- How do I save a reel's audio to my iPhone or Android phone?
- Paste the link into looprush2.com on the phone; the sound is then in a library on that phone and plays with the screen off. It is not written to Files or the camera roll.
- Can I save the sound from a private account's reel?
- No. Instagram does not hand over reels that need a login to see.
- Does it work for Instagram video posts, not just reels?
- Yes. instagram.com/p/… links to video posts work the same way. Photos and stories do not carry a sound to save.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Saving needs no sign-in; an account only keeps your stacks across devices.
