How to
How to loop an Instagram Reel's sound
A reel does loop inside Instagram, but only while you stay parked on it with the screen on. Scroll, switch apps or lock the phone and it stops. There is no repeat control, and no way to keep the audio going on its own.
LoopRush turns the reel's sound into a track with a repeat button. Paste the reel link, tap Repeat, and that sound keeps looping with the phone in your pocket until you stop it.
This is for listening. If you are trying to make a reel that loops seamlessly when you post it, that is an editing question and not what this page is about.
Loop one reel's sound
- In Instagram, open the reel, tap the share arrow, then Copy link.
- Open looprush2.com and paste the link.
- The sound extracts in a few seconds and starts playing as audio.
- Tap Repeat once for repeat all, twice for repeat one. Repeat one loops that single sound.
- Lock the phone. The loop keeps going, with play, pause and skip on the lock screen.
What kind of reel links work
Links of the form instagram.com/reel/…, instagram.com/p/… for a video post, and the instagram.com/share/reel/… links the app sometimes hands out all work; the share links are resolved to the reel they point at. A profile, a story or an audio page is not a reel and the box says so straight away rather than trying and failing.
Private accounts are the one hard limit: Instagram will not hand over a reel that needs a login to see, so a reel from a private account cannot be saved by anyone but its owner.
Why Instagram will not loop audio for you
Reels is built to move you to the next reel. The auto-replay you get by staying on one is a side effect of that feed, not a feature you control: it has no repeat setting, it cannot detach the sound from the video, and it ends when the app leaves the foreground.
Any loop that survives the lock screen has to come from a media player that owns the audio. LoopRush is that player, running in your browser, with the reel's sound as a plain track.
Looping a whole set of reels
Sounds saved from reels sit in a stack alongside anything saved from TikTok. Repeat all runs the whole stack round and round; shuffle mixes it. A gym stack of eight reels and a few TikToks plays like a playlist, and the repeat setting belongs to that stack, so it stays put while you browse others.
Questions
- How do I loop an Instagram Reel's sound?
- Copy the reel's link, paste it into looprush2.com, then tap Repeat twice to reach repeat one. That sound loops until you stop it, screen off included.
- Does Instagram Reels loop on its own?
- Only while you stay on the reel with the screen on. Scrolling, switching apps or locking the phone stops it, and there is no repeat setting.
- Can I loop just the audio, without the video?
- Yes. LoopRush plays the reel's sound as audio; the video is a tap away if you want to see it, and off by default.
- Does the loop keep going with the screen off?
- Yes. Repeat is part of the player, so it continues with the phone locked, with controls on the lock screen and on headphones.
- Is this how I make a reel that loops when I post it?
- No. That is a question of trimming the clip so its end matches its start, in Instagram's editor or a video app. This page is about listening to a reel's sound on repeat.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Saving and looping need no sign-in; an account only keeps your stacks across devices.
